Who we are
This is the website of the choir Laudate from Rīga, Latvia. The purpose of the site is to provide a useful and interesting online resource for the choir.
What personal data we collect and why we collect it
Media
Our site includes a gallery for displaying pictures and videos relating to our choir and its concerts. It also includes a section which allows our choristers to download the sheet music for our repertoire. We encourage contributors to our site only to share content that is appropriate and which they have the rights or permissions to share. If you believe that any content on the site is inappropriate or breaches the rights of any person or organisation, please contact us and we will look to remove it.
If you upload images to the website, you may wish to avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
User profiles
If you choose to register with our site, you may opt to provide some information about yourself in your profile area, such as a profile picture and a short bio text. This information may be publicly displayed on the site. We will not display your email address publicly. For some user roles, we may provide an option to allow profile information to be kept private.
Contact forms
If you choose to contact us using a contact form on our site, we will store the information you provide and we may reply to you regarding your enquiry using the contact details you provide.
Cookies
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
If you have an account and you log in to this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.
If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.
Analytics
We do not perform analytics on data collected through the website.
Who we share your data with
We do not share any personal data with third parties. Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
Security
How we protect your data
Our website is hosted on a secure web server with a password-protected administration area. User accounts have to be approved by a site administrator before they become active. Forms which collect user information on the site are protected with SSL encryption (https) and use features such as Google reCAPTCHA to reduce the likelihood of spam content. The site has a contact form where users can report any issues they find with the site.
What data breach procedures we have in place
In the unlikely event of a data breach being identified, we will take our website offline, examine the website’s log files to try to determine the extent of the unauthorised data disclosure, and contact any individuals who we suspect have been affected.
If you have any reason to suspect that a data breach has occurred on this website, please contact a representative of the choir or an administrator of this site as soon as possible, ideally in person, or else through this site.
